Quester Introduces New API for Online Automated Interview

Ankeny, Iowa – In conjunction with the debut of the Apple iPad, Quester announced this week the introduction of its new Application Programming Interface (API) for Socrates®, their automated online interviewing software. Quester, a technology-based marketing research company headquartered in Des Moines, Iowa, provides the world’s first and only virtual moderator. With the new API, companies are now able to design their own interface to conduct conversations using Socrates technology.

“At the basic level, the technology asks questions and follows up for greater detail,” said Andrea Richards, Quester senior vice president “With the release of this API, experts in any industry can develop applications for our technology.” Richards cited examples for ways the tool could be used, such as pre-screening job candidates or as an automated suggestion box to collect greater detail on new ideas. “It may even have entertainment applications within the social media context,” Richards added.

“By offering the API, we broaden the reach of where the tool can be applied,” continued Richards.“In doing so, we gain access to a whole new world of data that we can then use to further improve our technology and innovate our analytic tools.”
