Principal Charity Classic and Steps for Charitable Cause

The Principal Charity Classic is coming to the Wakonda Club in Des Moines, Iowa. The Charity Classic is an annual golf tournament on the Champions Tour. The event runs from June 2 – 7 and is expected to draw 75,000 visitors to the Wakonda Club. Part of the event this year is the Steps for Charity Challenge. Pedometers will be handed out to the first 5,000 tournament visitors on Saturday the 6th. The goal of the challenge is to spread awareness of the benefits of walking and promote golf as a healthy sport. Organizers will track spectators, golfers, caddies and volunteers steps in the hope of reaching 5 million. If 5 million steps are achieved, Blank Children’s Hospital will receive a $10,000 gift from Quester and the Charity Classic.

The tournament runs through Sunday the 7th. Learn more about the Charity Classic and this charitable cause by visiting WHOtv.com.
